Responsibilities

Assist CNAs with meals and resident care during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Assist residents and kitchen staff during meal times.
Maintain accurate narcotic counts at shift end.
Contribute to procedures to prevent medication errors, including monitoring when and where they occur.
Maintain positive working relationships with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and LHCP nurses.
Report complaints or grievances to the administrator or resident care coordinator.
Participate in facility surveys or inspections as requested by authorities.
Ensure residents' appearance is well kept and needs are met.
Ensure safety of residents and participate in emergency evacuation if needed.
Liaise with residents, families, and departments to plan resident needs.
Follow procedures for infection control and waste disposal.
Report resident refusal of treatment or medication to the administrator or resident care coordinator.
