Qualifications

• Holds current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication procedures.
• Accurate documentation and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: PO, topical and rectal per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document Accurately: record all medication administration per policies.
• Ensure Safety: maintain medication cart control and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect Privacy: safeguard resident information confidentiality.
• Adhere to Infection Control: follow procedures during administration.
• Report Errors: immediately notify the Charge Nurse of any errors.
