Qualifications

• Holds a Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication with patience and professionalism.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or changes in resident status and report promptly.
• Document all medication administration in accordance with policies and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain secure medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse.
