Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and professionalism.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (PO, topical, and rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration accurately in the chart.
• Maintain a secure medication cart and a safe environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
