Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication with patients and team; patient, discipline and professionalism.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or changes in resident status and report.
• Document all medication administration accurately in required systems.
• Maintain secure medication cart and safe environment; follow infection control procedures.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Report any medication errors immediately to theCharge Nurse or supervisor.
