Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support resident care with precision and compassion. The role focuses on accurate medication administration, adherence to policies, and teamwork with nursing staff.

You will dispense prescribed medications, monitor for adverse reactions, document promptly, ensure cart safety, protect resident privacy, follow infection control practices, and report errors to the Charge Nurse. Texas CMA certification required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience with medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and a patient, disciplined, professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration accurately.
• Maintain a safe medication cart and hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report medication errors promptly to the Charge Nurse.
