Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and maintains a professional demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed PO, topical and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse medication reactions or changes in resident status and report.
• Document all medication administration in accordance with policies.
• Maintain control of the medication cart and ensure a safe environment.
• Safeguard confidentiality of resident information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
