Job summary

Summit Corners, a Sonida Senior Living community in Macedonia, Ohio, is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to provide quality resident care. You will set up and administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support daily living activities.

You may supervise CNAs, assist with hygiene, meals, mobility, and ensure safety per physician orders and professional standards. Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Ohio as a Medication Aide and maintain current licensure.
• Experience in resident medication administration and activities of daily living.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and report changes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians per professional standards.
• Supervise CNAs as directed to ensure safe patient care.
• Assist with personal hygiene, baths, showers, and grooming.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, ambulation, turning, and positioning.
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; test urine; record intake and output.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information
