Job summary

Summit Corners, a Sonida Senior Living community in Macedonia, OH, seeks an Assistant Wellness Director to lead nursing operations, ensure quality care, and guide staff in accordance with state and federal regulations. You will oversee policy implementation, assessments, and care planning while maintaining compassionate, resident-centered service.

Qualifications

• RN license with acute care or senior living experience.
• Minimum two years nursing experience in senior living.
• Two years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Willingness to work in required location and states allowing unlicensed position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures reflecting current practice and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff; monitors implementation and results.
• Conducts resident assessments and suggests service packages for residents and families.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care with adequate staff and coverage; monitor cleanliness and safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Key Clinical Quality Indicators and applies them.
• Reviews 24-hour unit reports to ensure timely responses to changes and incidents.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition per agency policies.

Assistant Wellness Director Responsibilities include:

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of physical or chemical restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction, as directed.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition of residents; including, but not limited to, incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of resident property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Some states may allow for this to be an unlicensed position (WI, TX, SC)
