Job summary

(Hurst Plaza Nursing and Rehab) LSSH Hurst, LLC is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of the nurse supervisor or charge nurse. You will follow facility policies and state regulations to ensure safe medication pass and accurate documentation.

Full-time, 12-hour shifts from 7a-7p with Sunday-Tuesday, and every other Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday, and every other Wednesday.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and any required examinations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Record and report medication errors promptly.
• Assist in developing procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians and pharmacists.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications accurately as ordered.
