Job summary

Tradition Senior Living – Woodway is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer oral and topical medications under physician order, supervised by a licensed nurse, and in accordance with state and federal rules. The CMA reports to the Healthcare Director who oversees the community's Healthcare department.

Responsibilities include supporting residents, taking vital signs, routine rounds, and communicating changes to supervision.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nursing assistant is required.
• State approved medication administration certification- Texas CMA permit.
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nursing assistant.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to read medication labels, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide the required support to assist residents.
• Take and record vital signs as directed by medical or nursing staff.
• Make routine rounds on assigned residents.
• Promptly communicate significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor.
