Avamere Rehab of Coos Bay is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to assist in administering medications under licensed nursing supervision and to provide basic resident care. The role emphasizes accurate dosing, documentation, and monitoring resident well-being.

The CMA should hold a valid CMA license in the state, maintain CPR/BLS during employment, and bring experience from long-term care or geriatric rehab settings. EMR documentation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Certified Medication Aide in the state this position is held in.
• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Prefer experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and/or critical care clinical setting.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer oral and topical medications as prescribed by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Basic Nursing Care: Assist residents with ADLs such as hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility; monitor vital signs and report changes.
• Resident Care and Safety: Ensure safety and comfort of residents; respond to call lights and maintain a clean environment.
• Communication and Documentation: Communicate with residents, family, and staff; document care and medication administration.
• Other Duties: May assist with other nursing tasks; attend staff meetings and continuing education.
