Job summary

Avamere Rehab of Coos Bay is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to assist in administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CMA provides basic nursing care, monitors resident well-being, and supports ADLs in a caring long-term care environment.

Responsibilities include accurate medication administration, documentation, and timely communication with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed CMA in the state this position is held in.
• Must maintain active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Prefer experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute or critical care settings.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and topical medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist residents with ADLs and monitor vital signs.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff; report changes to the supervising nurse.
