Job summary

St. John's Lutheran Community in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a CNA/TMA to provide routine nursing care and administer medications under supervision. The role includes assisting with daily activities, observing residents, and following care plans.

On-site facility needs and flexible shifts are noted; CNA certification in Minnesota is required. The position offers day and evening shifts with differentials and benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid orientation and time off.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered CNA with Minnesota certification.
• Must have completed the 48-hour approved Medication Administration Course.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares residents for visits by physician, family and other visitors.
• Assists with end of life and postmortem care as needed.
• Observes and reports any changes in skin condition.
• Answer Call lights
• Positions for comfort in bed and chairs.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving.
• Carries out restorative and rehabilitative programs as ordered.
• Assists resident to and from bathroom.
• Monitors and documents output as requested.
• Takes and records vital signs (TPR/BP).
• Administers medications under supervision and follows 6 RIGHTS.
