Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work 6A-10P with Saturday and Sunday shifts in Texas. The CMA will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes, maintaining high-quality resident care.

Eligible candidates must have current CMA certification and communicate effectively in English; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must speak and write English clearly.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current Certification for Medication Aide required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care per policies and procedures.
• Employ preventative and restorative measures.
• Follow hand washing and infection control guidelines.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder and participate in training as required.
• Inventory drugs using designated forms.

Job Summary

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.

Previous patient care experience preferred.

Current certification for Medication Aide.

CLINICAL

Participate in Shift Report.

Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.

Employs preventative and restorative measures.

Follows hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder, etc.
• Participates in all assigned meetings.
• Participates in all training, education or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
