Job summary

Harborview Health Center of Augusta is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate care team. Provide direct patient care under supervision and assist with medication administration for residents.

Maintain a clean, safe environment and support daily living activities as needed. Ideal candidates have a CNA training, active CNA and Medication Aide certifications, and at least 1 year in healthcare or 2 years as a medication aide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of health care industry experience or 2 years' experience as a medication aide.
• Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a RN or LPN.
• Assist in the administering of medication to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and families.
• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
