Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide per NM Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• CPR and ongoing training required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, inhalation and topical medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Observe patients for drug reactions and report problems.
• Record medication administration per agency procedures.
• Assist the nurse in providing care and reporting client needs.
• Follow state laws, policies and maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Complete required documentation before leaving shift.
