Job summary

The Legacy Senior Communities in Dallas, TX is seeking a certified Medication Aide to provide medication administration and personal care to residents. You will coordinate with pharmacy providers to ensure timely access to medications and support residents with daily living activities.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting medications, assisting with dining, and supporting activity programs. CPR certification and TX CMA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certificate in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records resident’s vital signs and weight.
• Administers and documents medications per physician orders, including oral, topical, and suppository meds, as well as eye/ear drops.
• Reorders prescriptions and coordinates with pharmacies to ensure residents have medications.
• Observes and reports reactions or adverse effects from medications.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Answers resident calls for assistance.
• Assists residents to dining room and activities; monitors dining.
• Provides light housekeeping and trash removal as needed.
• Assists Lifestyles Coordinator with activities for residents.
