Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in good standing with the State.
• Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications following accepted practices and under supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Follow safety, sanitation and infection control policies and report violations to supervisor.
• Attend orientation and required in-service education as directed by the state and facility.
• Promote residents' rights and positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators.
