You will be providing medication services and direct resident care to our residents, assisting in medication distribution, maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for residents, and being part of a high-performing care team. Additionally, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, and other daily chores.

In this job, every day you will…

1. Manage the daily operation of the medication room and medication services as directed by the Director of Nursing (SNF) or Health Services Director (AL), in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and the nurse practice act.
2. Process physician medication and treatment orders following regulations and standards.
3. Administer and assist with the self-administration of routine and non-routine medications as per physician orders and regulations.
4. Report and document changes in resident conditions, incidents, accidents, and communicate with physicians, pharmacies, outside services, residents, and families as needed.
5. Provide direct resident care, promoting dignity, independence, and choice, while observing and reporting physical and mental condition changes.

Education & Experience you need to qualify :

• High school diploma or GED; one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred or required by state regulations.
• State-required medication pass certification or equivalent, including completion of delegation and competency assessments.
• Current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
• Completion of all necessary state-required training.
