The Sales Account Manager (SAM) is a field-based role responsible for enrolling Medicare beneficiaries in skilled nursing facilities into the UnitedHealthcare Institutional Special Needs Plan (ISNP).

If located in Charlotte, NC, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while tackling challenging objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Utilize the national sales model to generate leads and enroll beneficiaries into the UnitedHealthcare Nursing Home plan.
  2. Develop and manage account-specific strategies to educate and engage facility personnel, leading to interest from residents and/or families.
  3. Apply traditional sales techniques to identify needs and communicate plan benefits.
  4. Achieve enrollment targets within your territory.
  5. Document all activities to ensure compliance with Medicare Marketing Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  1. State health insurance licensure within 90 days of hire or the ability to obtain it.
  2. Ability to maintain licensure and certifications as per policies.
  3. Experience in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  4. Sales experience in B2C or B2B settings or experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
  5. Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for field activities.
  6. Strong account management skills, including planning, documentation, and measurement.
  7. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 90% within the local territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. B2B and B2C sales experience.
  2. Experience with CRM systems or technical skills.
  3. Adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy for remote work.

The salary range is $50,000 to $115,000 annually, plus potential bonuses based on sales performance. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions. Compensation factors include location, education, experience, and certifications.
