Accura HealthCare of Ames is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for a part-time, PRN position on the 2PM-10PM shift. We offer a competitive hourly rate with experience credit, plus shift differential and a supportive leadership team.

As a 80-bed SNF in Ames, IA, we focus on person-centered care and partnership in care. The CMA administers medications and supports residents according to the care plan and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold CMA certification/state certification (CNA allowed).
• Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per care plan.
• Assess information and perform treatments as delegated.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure resident safety.

JOB SUMMARY:

Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) are responsible for administering medications, assessing information, and performing treatments in coordination with the resident’s care plan, the facility’s policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold current CMA certification with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain a state-specific certification (includes current CNA certification).
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
