Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate care team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa. This role supports daily living activities and medications while delivering emotional support and companionship to residents.

Qualified candidates will hold Iowa CNA and Medication Aide certifications or be able to activate them, demonstrating a patient, respectful demeanor and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Iowa, or ability to activate certification.
• Medication Aide certification valid in Iowa, or ability to activate.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoring and conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.
