Job summary

Iris Memory Care of NW OKC in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our memory care team. The role focuses on resident medication administration, daily living support, and engaging activities in a warm, home-like setting.

We offer a full-time 3pm–11pm shift with pay starting at $17.50–$18.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Prior memory care experience is a plus; caring for residents with dementia is at the heart of our mission.

Qualifications

• Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry (required).
• Current Certified Medication Aide certification (required).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience with older adults preferred.
• Memory care experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated warmth, patience and compassion.
• Reliable work history and ability to meet CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately per orders and community protocols.
• Assist residents with ADLs, dining and mobility.
• Support life enrichment activities and social programming.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to keep a home-like environment.
• Provide emotional and physical comfort to residents and families.
• Respect residents' dignity, privacy, independence and individuality.

*Pay is negotiable based on experience. Priority given to candidates with memory care experience.

About Our Community

We’re a freestanding memory care assisted living community with 54 residents. We are conveniently located near NW 122nd Street and N MacArthur Blvd. Intimate enough that every team member truly knows every resident. All of our residents live with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, and as an age-in-place community, you’ll care for residents across the full spectrum of the disease. Smaller team, bigger impact.

What You’ll Do

• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders and community protocols
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility
• Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment
• Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families
• Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
• Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred
• At least 18 years of age

• Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position
