Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (60 hours) for 1st shift 6:00am-2:00pm or 7am-3pm for FT. The CMA will administer medications, assist with care plans, and ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide for the State of Iowa (60 hour class).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans.
• Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines.
• Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members.
• Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated.
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition.
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority.
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC.
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair.
