Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to assist licensed nurses in residents' care across our communities and home health settings in Ohio. The role includes administering medications, observing residents, and documenting care with a focus on person-centered service.

We offer Full-time, Part-time, and PRN positions with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Starting pay is competitive with shift differentials to reflect experience and hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA certification issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Ohio active CMA certification, CPR and active CNA/STNA certification required.
• At least 12 months of direct care as a CNA/STNA; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Administer routine medications and treatments per state regulations and policies.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and report any concerns to the supervising nurse.
• Record vital signs prior to administration when required.
• Document medication administration in the resident’s record immediately.
• Provide personal care services and assist with activities of daily living as needed.

Education

Ohio CMA Certification

CPR Certification

CNA/STNA Certification (active)

Experience as CNA/STNA (12 months)
