Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Mississippi.

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Claiborne Senior Living, LLC in Martinez, Georgia, is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medication to our senior residents. This is a full-time, hourly healthcare/medical position, and the CMA will be an individual contributor. The CMA will provide compassionate care and assistance to residents, maintain accurate documentation, and record keeping. This position reports to the Director of Nursing and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications according to prescribed orders, complying with state regulations and facility policies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medications administered
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects, reporting concerns to the Director of Nursing
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing
  • Maintain a clean and safe medication cart and storage area
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Mississippi
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year healthcare experience, preferably with seniors
  • Knowledge of medication administration and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from physicians and nurses
  • Pass background check and drug screening
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe
