Certified Medication Aide (CMA) – Assisted Living & Memory Support

Full-Time

Schedule: 6p-6a on a 3-2-2 rotation with every other weekend off

The Certified Medication Aide provides assistance and direction to residents with personal care needs and activities of daily living. Responsibilities include:

1. Obtaining and recording residents’ vital signs and weight.
2. Administering and documenting medications following physicians’ orders, including oral, topical, suppository medications, eye and ear drops.
3. Reordering prescriptions and coordinating with pharmacy providers to ensure residents have their medications.
4. Observing, recording, and reporting any effects or reactions from medications.
5. Assisting residents with activities of daily living.
6. Answering resident calls for assistance.
7. Assisting residents to and from dining and activities.
8. Monitoring residents during dining.
9. Assisting with light housekeeping and trash removal.
10. Supporting the Lifestyles Coordinator with resident activities.

Educational Requirements and Experience

• Current CMA certificate in Texas.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of CMA experience, but not required.
