A leading healthcare provider seeks a dedicated individual for a technical role in patient care within correctional facilities. The position involves assisting with patient hygiene, documenting vital signs, and managing medications under supervision. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and a Texas Certified Medication Aide permit.
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
JOB SUMMARY: Performs technical duties in the field of patient care and participates in the general health care of patients by providing assistance with cleanliness, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, and distribution of medications. Assists the professional staff in maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EQUIPMENT: Standard patient care supplies, equipment, and mechanical devices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Located within a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center. Security clearance and pre-employment drug testing are required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
This is a non-benefit eligible, hourly position limited to a maximum of 19 hours per week.
