Job summary

Park View Rehabilitation Center in Iowa is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring team on a PRN (on-call) basis. You will help administer medications, support daily living activities, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, an Iowa CNA certificate, completed Medication Aide training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report accordingly.
• Maintain a safe environment and support ongoing education for staff.

As a Certified Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Park View Rehabilitation Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
