Job summary

San Juan Care Center in Farmington, NM is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our patient-centered care team. Under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, you will ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care.

We offer full-time benefits and expect strong communication in English, prior patient care experience, and current CMA certification. You will participate in meetings and complete charting and inventory documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Your Job

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
