Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Belmond is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. You will be the frontline of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive the medications they need and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualified applicants include a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate, Medication Aide training and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Medication Aide training and CPR certification completed.
• One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front-line in the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive medications.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and provide education as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
