Job summary

Coronado Care Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. The CMA will ensure timely and accurate medication administration and contribute to high-quality resident care.

We offer full-time employment with 12-hour shifts and benefits for eligible staff. The role requires effective English communication, prior patient care experience, and current CMA certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
