Job summary

Coronado Care Center in Portales, NM is seeking a CMA to join our TEAM on 12-hour shifts. The CMA works under the charge nurse to ensure med passes are completed timely and accurately, maintaining the highest quality resident care at all times.

We offer benefits for full-time employees. Qualifications include ability to communicate effectively in English, prior patient care preferred, and current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Your Job

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
