Job summary

Gallup Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The CMA ensures timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care.

Requirements include a CNA certificate, CMA certification, and strong English communication. Previous patient care experience is preferred as we serve our residents daily with a spirit of excellence.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English, in speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current CNA certificate is required; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in patient condition to the Patient Care Supervisor promptly.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Inform about medication reorder as needed.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions as required.
• Document inventory of drugs on appropriate forms.

Your Job:

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.
• CNA certificate is required

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.
