Apple Rehab Clipper in Westerly, RI, seeks a Certified Medication Aide to join our 60-bed skilled nursing team. You will administer medications, document dosages, and collaborate with nurses to ensure high-quality patient care within a family-oriented environment.

We value experienced caregivers who can work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Compensation ranges from $25 to $28 per hour with shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package is available for 30+ hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide in Rhode Island.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed and non-prescribed medications to patients as part of daily care.
• Coordinate with nurses to support patient care and medication management.
• Follow written/verbal instructions for medication management with precision.
• Maintain records of dosages and administration times.
• Observe patients, document changes, and report to healthcare team.

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for a range of patient care duties, showcasing your expertise in administering medication, accurately recording dosages, reporting changes, and collecting samples.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer both prescription and non-prescription medications to patients as part of their daily care routine.
• Coordinate with various nurses to provide assistance in patient care and medication management.
• Adhere to written or verbal instructions on medication management, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Maintain records of medication dosages and administration times.
• Regularly observe patients, document changes in their condition, and communicate relevant information to the healthcare team.
