Job summary

Right Staff is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant with a CMA certification to work in Iowa. The role involves assessing residents’ needs, developing and following care plans, and delivering high-quality care under CMA guidelines.

You will communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians and staff and administer medications as prescribed. The position requires a valid CNA license in Iowa, CMA certification, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• CNA license in Iowa is required.
• Certified Medication Aide certification is required.
• Current CPR certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and help develop and follow individual care plans.
• Ensure quality care through CMA processes and guidelines.
• Communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians and staff.
• Administer medications and other direct care as prescribed.
• Share information with staff to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Report suspected abuse to the appropriate authority.
• Document appropriately in PCC as required.
• Assist with moving residents and medications carts as needed.

Job Description

• Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans
• Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines
• Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians and staff
• Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Iowa
• Certified Medication Aide certification
• Current CPR certificate/card
