Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Belmond is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly and supportive team. You will be the front line of the Clinical Department, administering medications and assisting residents with daily living tasks.

The position is part-time, evenings 5p-9p, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement, growth, and a comprehensive benefits package. Iowa CNA certification, Medication Aide training, CPR, and at least one year of CNA/Medication Aide experience are

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate and Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor residents.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report.
• Maintain a safe environment and educate residents as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
