Job summary

Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, Nebraska is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our night shift team in a full-time nursing and rehabilitation setting. You will administer medications, document accurately in eMAR, and collaborate with licensed staff to ensure resident safety and comfort.

The role requires CMA and CPR certifications, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior geriatric care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medication carts and supplies; monitor inventory and reorder as needed

• Perform additional duties to support resident care and team operations

What you'll do:

• Maintain medication carts and supplies; monitor inventory and reorder as needed
• Accurately document all administrations in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and resident care plans
• Observe residents and promptly report changes, concerns, or needs to licensed nursing staff or appropriate department leaders
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support resident care and team operations

What we're looking for:

• Read, analyze, and interpret basic scientific and technical information in English
• Communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English
• Perform basic math, including calculations with standard and weight measurements
• Demonstrate empathy and strong customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required
• Long-term care or geriatric experience preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. and assist with resident handling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in environments with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
