Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to accurately administer prescribed medications under licensed supervision at The Ashford of Mt. Washington in Cincinnati, OH.

This full-time or PRN role offers a supportive environment where residents’ independence and quality of life are priorities. The CMA provides compassionate care, ensuring timely documentation and communication with residents, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires a Certified Medication Aide certificate from the Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Completion of first aid training and CPR

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications, as prescribed, under the direction of a licensed nurse and document administration.
  • Promptly report need for PRN medications to the nurse.
  • Report any adverse or concerning reactions to medications to the nurse.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
  • Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices within the CMA scope.
  • Provide physical resident care including personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Respond to call lights promptly and address residents' needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Care.

Pay Rate: $24/hr plus shift differential

What You'll Do
  • Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Completes documentation of medication administration.
  • Promptly report to the nurse, a resident's request/need for PRN medications.
  • Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning reactions to medications.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that falls under the scope of the Certified Medication Aide.
  • Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident's needs.
  • Any other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of Care.
