Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Caregiver in Cincinnati, OH, at The Ashford of Mt. Washington. This is a full-time or PRN role with a pay rate of $18/hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Organized and self-motivated to provide excellent resident care.
  • CPR certification is required; Nurse Aide certification is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
  • Respond to call lights promptly and address resident/family needs.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and assist with mobility to activities and meals.
  • Support residents to and from activities, dining, and events within the community.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and repositioning as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.
  • Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.
  • Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
  • Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
  • Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents
  • CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions
  • Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
