Avardis Health is seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide to join our Arden Ridge Health and Rehab team in Texas. The role emphasizes accurate medication administration, collaboration with nursing staff, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Completed 24-hour training program provided by NC Board of Nursing.
  • Passed a State-administered competency exam.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies resident identity and records drug, dosage, and time of administration.
  • Clarifies orders with supervising nurse and notifies supervisor if not administering.
  • Takes and records vital signs when required.
  • Orders/re-orders medications per regulations.
  • Maintains orderly medication room and ensures proper access to meds.

Job Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time] - 12 Hour Shifts Available!

We are searching for a Certified Medication Aide to join our community that is resident, and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a culture. Major Responsibilities
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
  • Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective or contraindicated by consulting with supervisory nurse. Notify supervisor when making the decision not to administer.
  • Takes and records vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
  • Orders and re-orders medications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintains neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart. Takes appropriate precautions to make sure residents / patient do not have access to medications other than those prescribed.
  • Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure effective interactions with patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with resident's rights policies.
  • Attend and participate in care team conferences or meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
