Avardis Health is seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Forrest Oakes Health, offering 12-hour shifts and flexible full-time/part-time options. You will verify resident medications, document administration times, and collaborate with supervisory nurses to ensure safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates hold a NC 24-hour nursing board training, pass the state competency exam, and demonstrate compassion, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required by state regulations.
  • Completed 24-hour NC Board of Nursing training.
  • Passed a State-administered competency exam.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records drug, dosage, and time on forms.
  • Clarifies orders or treatment regimens with supervisory nurse and notifies supervisor when not administering.
  • Takes and records vital signs upon medication administration when required.
  • Orders and re-orders medications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintains neat, clean medication room and cart; ensures residents do not access medications other than those prescribed.
  • Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Ensures effective interactions with patients and families.
  • Ensures compliance with residents' rights policies.
  • Attends care team conferences or meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

We are searching for a Certified Medication Aide to join our community that is resident, and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a culture. Major Responsibilities
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
  • Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective or contraindicated by consulting with supervisory nurse. Notify supervisor when making the decision not to administer.
  • Takes and records vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
  • Orders and re-orders medications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintains neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart. Takes appropriate precautions to make sure residents / patient do not have access to medications other than those prescribed.
  • Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure effective interactions with patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with resident's rights policies.
  • Attend and participate in care team conferences or meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or experience as required by state regulations.
  • Completed 24-hour training program provided by NC Board of Nursing
  • Passed a State-administered competency exam.
  • You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
