Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill Assisted Living Facility is seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide to support our resident-focused community. You will verify medications, monitor vital signs as needed, document accurately, and collaborate with the care team to uphold safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent or state-required experience.
  • Completed 24-hour NC Board of Nursing training.
  • Passed a state-administered competency exam.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies identity of resident and records details of medication administration.
  • Clarifies orders with supervisory nurse when needed.
  • Takes and records vital signs when required.
  • Orders and re-orders medications per federal and state regulations.
  • Keeps medication room clean and secure.
  • Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Communicates effectively with residents and families.
  • Ensures compliance with residents' rights policies.
  • Attends care team conferences as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes forms per company policy and regulations.

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time - Observations must be current.

We are searching for a Certified Medication Aide to join our community that is resident, and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a culture. Major Responsibilities
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
  • Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective or contraindicated by consulting with supervisory nurse. Notify supervisor when making the decision not to administer.
  • Takes and records vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
  • Orders and re-orders medications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintains neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart. Takes appropriate precautions to make sure residents / patient do not have access to medications other than those prescribed.
  • Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure effective interactions with patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with resident's rights policies.
  • Attend and participate in care team conferences or meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or experience as required by state regulations.
  • Completed 24-hour training program provided by NC Board of Nursing
  • Passed a State-administered competency exam.
