Qualifications

• Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses using CLIA guidelines.
• Identifies problems, develops alternatives, and applies independent judgment.
• Maintains currency in laboratory theory and technique through ongoing education.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs laboratory equipment with preventive maintenance.
• Performs and records quality control procedures and implements corrective actions.
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture or skin puncture within scope of training.
• Accurately accession, triage, and prepare specimens for testing and transit.

Education

Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology
