Riley Children's Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Interpreter to provide critical support to LOE patients and families. The role involves assisting the care team under the direction of clinical nurses and serving as a liaison between medical staff and families.
Candidates should have at least two years of medical interpretation experience and fluency in English and a target language, such as Spanish or American Sign Language. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and flexibility to assist with additional assignments is required.
Provides support to LOE patients, families, and medical staff providing care. Assists designated patients and provides support to the care team under the direction of the clinical nurse. Serves as the liaison between clinical, medical staff and patients and/or families. Assures care of patients and families is reflective of IU Health's values.
Week 1 - 1pm-11:30pm - Mon, Tue and Sat and 8am-6:30p - Fri
Week 2 - 1pm-11:30pm - Sun, Wed-Fri
Primarily supporting Riley ED
Bachelor's degree preferred.
