Job summary

Piedmont is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our Georgia-based care teams. Under the supervision of a physician, you will perform patient care activities and support front and back office operations, helping to ensure efficient, compassionate service for every patient.

Required education includes an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of related clinical experience. CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse.
• Duty assignments vary and include front office and back office functions.
