Job summary

Piedmont in Georgia is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our patient care teams. Under supervision of a physician or nurse, you will perform front and back office tasks while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Required: high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of related clinical experience; CMA-AAMA or equivalent certification and BCLS. Prior clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• 1 year of medical office experience may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or nurse.
• Handle front and back office duties as assigned.
