Job summary

Southern-Indian-Health-Council, Inc is seeking a Temp Certified Professional Coder in Alpine, CA. The role codes diagnoses and procedures (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) for reimbursement and ensures compliance with coding guidelines.

The position supports the Fiscal department, works full-time hours (8:00AM-4:30PM), and reports to the Revenue Cycle Director. Requires a coding certificate or AA/AS with two years’ experience and AHIMA/AAPC certification.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AA/AS degree in medical coding is required or two years of coding experience.
• Must have coding certification (AHIMA or AAPC).
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Code diagnoses and procedures accurately for reimbursement.
• Enter codes in NextGen PM for encounters and claims submission.
• Educate providers on documentation requirements and coding changes.
