Job summary

Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai'i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky is hiring a Coding Specialist/Biller 2 in Seattle, WA. Under supervision, you will ensure compliant medical documentation, coding, and billing, while advancing front-end revenue cycle procedures.

You will review CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding, handle billing queries, manage denial resolutions, and support internal audits. Required CPC certification, 2+ years medical billing experience, and experience with practice management systems

Qualifications

• Associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• CPC certification required.
• Minimum of two years in a medical billing operation.
• Experience with front-end revenue cycle and practice management systems (Epic a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform prospective and retrospective coding reviews to ensure claims are accurate and correct as needed.
• Submit and manage provider coding queries for cases needing documentation or provider response.
• Verify claim accuracy, take corrective action, and ensure timely filing.
• Review denials and rejections and resolve claims.
• Identify trends in rejections and report to Coding Integrity Manager.
